As a fully licensed therapist to individuals and couples since 2013, I bring seasoned experience and a wealth of knowledge. I listen carefully, look for patterns, connect dots, and uncover blind spots that are inaccessible on our own yet negatively impact daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.
The basis and purpose of my practice is to support you and your goals for therapy. That is why I'm here. My desire is to understand you in your world and we work together from there. My style as a therapist is warm and interactive. I’m a thoughtful observer as well as an active voice in our discussions.
During therapy, we explore the situations and relationships in your life (past and present) that are confusing, upsetting, taxing, or just seem "impossible." With open and honest dialogue, I guide your processes through thoughts and feelings, walk with you through the internal challenges, weed out defenses that no longer serve you, and help your development of a stronger sense of self.
Academically, Seattle University is where I chose to complete my Master of Arts in Psychology. Grounded in humanistic theory, our program prepared me through research, reflection, and engagement in practice across the fields of clinical psychology, philosophy, and the humanities.
Preceding graduate studies, I gained my footing at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Counseling with a minor in Psychology. Intensely curious about the human condition, I seek to reach my clients in a way that inspires a life worth living.
By ongoing engagement in therapeutic networks, conferences, workshops, and training, I continuously expand my knowledge to work diversely with clients from any walk of life. Offering a comprehensive therapeutic approach, my framework draws from and interweaves the following modalities which I understand may be unfamiliar, so I encourage you to inquire:
Relational
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Attachment Theory
Existential Psychology
Psychodynamic
Gendlin’s Focusing
Phenomenological Method
Gestalt
